Well, I’m off and running.
My writing continues and I now know the revision process may never truly be over for any manuscript I write. I’m laughing as I say that, because it’s a good thing. It means I’m learning something new continually.
This year I’m entering a few contests and know I’ll gather a lot of insightful information along the way.
Besides entering contests, I’m attending the Romantic Times Conference this year in April. I’m really looking forward to all the workshops and getting a chance to meet some publishers, editors and agents in person.
I have also decided to be the Membership Coordinator for our Calgary, RWA chapter. If I haven’t stated before how valuable this group has been to me, I’m shouting it now! Joining this group is one of the best things I’ve ever done for my writing career.
Thanks to everyone who has followed along with me in 2009. I appreciate everyones encouragement. Stay posted to my site. I’m hoping to have some new information posted about my new book Perfect Misfits sometime in March, along with a contest or two.
Hi Lawna,
Sounds like your new year is starting off with a bang! Your dedication to the business of writing and the process of nurturing your craft through all the steps along the way continues to be an inspiration to me. For me this year, my goal is to devote time and energy to not only the writing process, but to the networking/promotion/business/research/effort required for publication. Good luck with your projects! Maybe I’ll see you at the Romantic Times Conference! Sandy
