Your story sounds wonderful. i too have always been fascinated by horses. When I was a child, i read all of the My Friend Flicka series, not to mention the terribly Brit pony club tales. I longed for a pony of my own but growing up in Glasgow, it was a tad difficult so I had to be content with a once a week riding lesson which I paid for out of saved lunch money. My fave tv series was Champion the Wonder Horse. Do you want a funny story? Remember the children’s craze of the spacehooper? I had one called Thunder. I used to dress up in my jodhpurs and hard hat and ‘ride’ him down the busy Glasgow road. As you can imagine, I got some pretty strange looks. Interestingly, in my recently completed saga, I too have a troubled misunderstood horse who bonds with a lonely 14 year old. What is it about horses and young girls? Good luck with this. I am sure you achieve the success you deserve.
